Let’s work together and create something marvellous.

I’m Lizzie. I’m one of those creatively organised folks that the world needs.

I can help bring your idea to life.

I’m people-focused and pride myself in my organisational skills. I enjoy bringing collaborators together from all corners of the creative world and producing something brilliant.

I am an accomplished Project Manager and at home with a spreadsheet (or ten). I have a wealth of experience of working in the cultural and not-for-profit sector – most recently live music.

What I can offer…

Project planning + delivery

With a keen eye on deadlines, I can take the helm and manage your project from inception to delivery and everything in between. Working collaboratively with everyone involved.

Project budgeting + evaluation

Making sense of the numbers, clear and concise record keeping and collating information for end of project reporting and evaluation.

Brand management

Your brand is your voice – and it’s important you don’t lose it! I can make sure your output is consistent and an accurate representation of your organisation, profile or business.

Event management

Covering all aspects of event delivery including ticketing set up, liaising with venues and performers, advancing, scheduling as well as being the main point of contact on event day.

Artist liaison

Working closely with the venue or promoter and artist, I can navigate the needs of both to make sure requested preparations have been made and everyone has what they need to put on a great performance.

Research

Understanding your sector, your peers, similar organisations and the broader cultural landscape can be hugely beneficial to project planning and strategy. I can research, review and advise on what’s out there and use it to help shape your future plans.

Funding application support

There’s no silver bullet when applying for funding – it all starts with a great project idea. I can help you navigate the application process, collate information and manage the budget, timeline and anything else that’s required from the funder.

Who I’ve worked with…

Thirteen North

Thirteen North is a new string ensemble of 13 of Scotland's top players, driven to bringing classical music to new and more diverse audiences.

  • My work with Thirteen North sees me responsible for keeping everything moving, scheduling, financial management, advancing shows, project planning and all other manner of logistics.

For my current role as Operations Manager with the ensemble I work alongside the Artistic Directors and Trustees on business planning, strategy and funding applications – as well as working on individual performances and projects.

The role requires me to work with a range of collaborators; thirteen musicians, venue staff, PR agencies, technicians, filmmakers and composers.

Esther Swift: Album release

A prolific, boldly innovative harpist, composer and singer, Esther works across genres as diverse as classical chamber music and free improvisation.

  • I worked closely with Esther on the release of her debut studio album Expectations of a Lifetime

My role covered various aspects of the project, bringing together collaborators Oana Stanciu– one of Edinburgh's leading visual artists – and inimitable string quartet Vulva Voce plus a host of other hugely talented musicians and lighting, visual and sound designers.

I managed the CD design, manufacturing and licensing ahead of release, alongside digital distribution across streaming platforms as well as working on the album launch live show at The Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh.

I really enjoyed working with Esther to help bring her music to life and share her creative ideas with the world.

Trades Club, Hebden Bridge

The Trades Club is an independent socialist members cooperative, club, bar and music venue in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire.

  • Working with the in-house venue team as Venue Representative – liaising between tech teams, bands and their wider touring party plus the front of house team to ensure a smooth running gig.

My role includes advancing the show, confirming stage times and tech requirements, setting up the Green Room and rider, working with FOH and generally making sure everyone has what they need to put on a great show.

"Your work has been hugely valuable to us in realising our creative goals."

Building a brand: Swim Feral

Swim Feral is a small-scale business selling sustainable, unique, swim gear for outdoor swimmers.

  • I worked with the co-founder, Jamima, to help shape the business, define the brand, and ultimately sell their amazing products. I planned out a shared schedule of activity for the year, identified partnership opportunities and worked closely to help achieve the goals of the business.

"I hugely appreciate you and all you’ve done for Swim Feral.

It's really rare to find someone as brilliant as you to work with."

Jamima Latimer, Co-Founder,
Swim Feral

Catriona Price & Friends

Scottish violinist and composer Catriona Price creates cross-genre music, with a focus on making change through cultural exchange and artistic innovation.

  • Helping bring Catriona's three solo shows to the Fringe in Edinburgh as part of the Made in Scotland showcase.

Wearing many hats (Tour Manager / Stage Manager / Production Manager) I worked with the different venues across the city to schedule a focused week of three performances. I set up the shows for sale, collated brochure information, managed scheduling and technical aspects of the show as well as attending networking events and making sure all members of the creative team had what they needed.

"Lizzie was a joy to work with, providing valuable opinions and suggestions, alongside assisting me with goal setting, planning and communications.

“She was thorough, thoughtful, flexible and considerate.”

  • Working as Senior Account Manager across a range of projects, I planned, managed and implemented various projects for a selection of clients from universities to cultural institutions, environmental organisations to historic buildings.

The work ranged from standalone design work to full scale marketing campaigns and communication strategies.

The Hallé

Manchester's orchestra since 1858, founded by Sir Charles Hallé based at the Bridgewater Hall.

  • Covering a maternity placement as Marketing Manager, I managed the marketing strategy for the season, not only for concerts but education events, development activity and all other aspects of the Hallé.

Oldham Coliseum

A producing repertory theatre dating back to 1887 .

  • As Press and Communications Manager for the theatre I maximised the profile of the Coliseum through all forms of media, was the main point of contact for local, regional and national press and managed the all photography and associated archive.
